Anchors on Loads (Kayaks, Rafts, Canoes)

When tying rope or webbing to a boat or any other load in the river, it is best to attach to at least two points if there is going to be a lot of force applied.

These can be used when unpinning or unwrapping a boat, using a transportation system on the water that includes ropes (such as a two-point or four-point raft on teather or when lining a raft down a drop where there is any chance that it could get pinned). For bad wraps, consider anchoring around the hull of the canoe or around the whole outer raft tube.
